All the best for your first official year :)Mamayalihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09381395081577670368noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1171886679912196473.post-65742637805392169492013-01-23T16:32:09.066+11:002013-01-23T16:32:09.066+11:00Just found you via Hobart Natural Learners :) We a...Just found you via Hobart Natural Learners :) We are about to officially register our daughter (NW Tas) and will be following an eclectic unschooling path too. Our daughter is an only child (also?) and it does seem to present some issues, well for me anyway. She also wont allow me to "teach" her, just like your daughter, layed down that rule quite early haha, but is happy to "play schools" with my mum and they do maths etc together once a week.
I hope everything is well with you, and i'm so glad to have found your blog :)Allanahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12745067753379692674noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1171886679912196473.post-2475379354465637192012-08-03T19:42:22.481+10:002012-08-03T19:42:22.481+10:00Nope K - no idea. There have been colder nights, so I don't think that was the reason. She was devastated as Quinn was sooooo special to her.Mamayalihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09381395081577670368noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1171886679912196473.post-11253896630943648072012-08-03T18:58:34.924+10:002012-08-03T18:58:34.924+10:00Awww... I hear you on the learn to read, my second child is similar and I spent some time deschooling, trying to let go of the need to have him read at a "peer" level. And he reads now. In his own time. Long vast chapter books, with several on the go at the same time and tells me the plot outlines and what appeals to him in the stories. It was so hard to let go of my own need to "prove" to others that he would at some point read. Now my critics are silenced and I'm approaching "reading" with my next child far more relaxed.Kestrelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01163873611934468418noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1171886679912196473.post-7851340300725360962011-09-15T18:15:07.739+10:002011-09-15T18:15:07.739+10:00I'm so sorry :( What an overwhelming month Aug...I'm so sorry :( What an overwhelming month August was for your family xxxMiss Cindershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04437926923349480195noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1171886679912196473.post-40349214884654087662011-07-07T14:52:36.014+10:002011-07-07T14:52:36.014+10:00I start melting when it hits the mid-20's thes...I start melting when it hits the mid-20's these days, so I think I've well & truly acclimatised ;)Mamayalihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09381395081577670368noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1171886679912196473.post-65929245704672648582011-07-07T08:51:44.633+10:002011-07-07T08:51:44.633+10:00I honestly don't know how you manage to stand ...I honestly don't know how you manage to stand the cold down there! Daddy Snow and I don't believe that any tests would tell us much worth knowing, since we're already pretty aware of what the snowflakes are/aren't 'good at'. And, whatever the results, we'd be unlikely to change what we're doing anyway. So really there doesn't seem to be any point in having the kids take tests.

It wouldn't surprise me to find that they are designed to be more useful for schools than for children and parents - ie, if a school produces an unexpectedly large percentage of low scores, this could indicate an issue with that school.Ishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13282542608502559263noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1171886679912196473.post-29854573871649662592011-02-19T22:30:51.731+11:002011-02-19T22:30:51.731+11:00How exciting!!!How exciting!!!Thermo Nuclear Kitchenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02807089277924962164noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1171886679912196473.post-69029003812041037452011-02-19T21:48:09.776+11:002011-02-19T21:48:09.776+11:00Oh poo, I wanted to make the first comment and J h...Oh poo, I wanted to make the first comment and J has beaten me to it lol

Looks fantastic though, and I'm sure that I and the snowflakes will be avid followers :)

Congratulations on becoming Official!Ishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13282542608502559263noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1171886679912196473.post-1917444533417762642011-02-19T19:01:00.097+11:002011-02-19T19:01:00.097+11:00Your header is gorgeous!
